The Satsquatch folks have never contacted me about promotion, I just wanted to share this unbelievable app with all of you. It’s now one of my two go-to weather apps. Overall though, this app is growing and its already great. As a storm chaser, small changes in wind over short distances can make a huge difference in target selection during the spring. I’d personally love an option for a more customizable view with the ability to integrate mesonet stations as well onto my map with all metars. The ISCN Weather app is a daily weather resource for your smartphone or tablet, providing forecasts and current conditions like radar, satellite imagery. Through this location pin you can search and add as many. Perhaps the only negative I have is the METARs aren’t a complete set, there are stations missing on the map and I think that was done to keep the map clean but I don’t agree with it. Click the pin marker in the top right corner of the app to open up weather forecast locations. I absolutely have been waiting for an app like this. I am an avid user of the SPC’s mesoanalysis page, but it is admittedly clunky when it comes time for storm season. I’ve always been frustrated by the pre-set satellite views on websites, so an app that allows me to zoom and pan at will for satellite imagery is a minor but groundbreaking experience.Ģ)The ability to overlay mesoanalysis items like METARs, CAPE, SRH, etc. I believe this app is the ultimate companion app to a radar app such as RadarScope or RadarOmega for storm chasers.ġ)The satellite views are really nice. When an app delivers zero of its promises, it should get a zero star rating.I’ve been using an app called ‘Satsquatch’ for the past few weeks and I am falling in love with it. PS App Store, you should give the reviewer the option to give a zero star rating. I’ll check back maybe someday and see if it ever gets fixed. This all happened when I had a strong LTE signal that was good enough for all my other apps including some detailed radar maps. I went chasing today and thought I would give it a try out in the field and as expected it completely failed to load the map or play the live storm chaser dash cam feed. This of course is ridiculous because I have high speed WiFi and LTE that both work flawlessly for everything else. While at home I began familiarizing myself with the app and right from the start it would freeze or not load the map or tell me there is no internet connection. Unfortunately I started to loose confidence after a few minutes of trying it out.
